I'm 43 years old and having my first guitar lesson next week. What I look for in an acoustic guitar?

I'm thinking Acoustic guitar purchasing new vs. used. What should I look for, any suggestions? Thank you!

I am 17 and have been playing for 4 years for day. I am an avid guitar player and I love studying. Since you are starting not to recommend a brand of high-end Taylor. But it is an Ibanez acoustic. Many may be sold between 100-200 dollars. They sound very bright for them and are very diverse range of music. If there is a certain type of music, the guitar of choice may vary. It's also about how you feel with the guitar. Try out the guitar. If you need any help on guitar, ask the store employees. They should know how to help. Just remember that the guitar is not easy.
