D and g How to play power chords on a guitar?

I do not know how to make a chord G4 and a power cord D. I looked everywhere, but nothing is really useful to think I need a real person to help me out instead of just letters. (I am a beginner and I have a master yet) Thanks!

Hello, Power chords usually 2 Note usually plays chords and the bottom two strings. The first note is the tonic chord. The second note is on the next string, 2 frets above. You just move this agreement at all on the neck to get the special power cable that you want. Take the power cord G. G is the third fret on the low E string. The second note will be the fifth fret on the next string (in the chain A). Power Cord D could play in 10 No fret of the low E string, 12 fret sequence A. The alternative way to play a D power chord would be using the A and D strings. Fifth fret on string A and 7th fret on the string D. Here is a chart of the notes on the fingerboard to help. This guy has a series of video lessons and 12 covers the basics quite well. I think we can learn from these lessons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxhxIV0I5T8&feature=related Later
